Paint The Town

Paint The Town – Annapolis Royal 2011

Watersheds are areas of land that collect rain and snow to drain into a marsh, river, lake or groundwater reserve

Annapolis Royal Paint The Town weekend was a wonderful experience for me this year.

Over seventy very talented artists produced a wide variety of works to offer up to those who came out to buy and participate in the silent auction.  These paintings found new homes and supported the local gallery.

I did a small “Painting Sketch” before tackling the large one.

The Annapolis Royal Generating Station is  located on the Annapolis River  immediately upstream Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia.  It is the only tidal generating station in North America.  The generating station harnesses the tidal difference created by the large tides in the Annapolis Basin, a sub-basin of the Bay of Fundy.
